We spoke to our main man - Man Go Funk aka Ro Nunez regarding his newest gem feat. Inriana - ‘I’ll Be True'

Who are you, and what do you do?

My name is Ro Nunez, aka Man Go Funk, and I've been a DJ for the last 30 years and producing music for the last 9 years.

How did your latest release on Dobar House come to be? Tell us about how you started the track, what inspired you, etc.

I've always loved Motown, soul, and disco. Womack & Womack's "Teardrops" has always been one of my all-time favorite tracks. I heard a few remixes in the past and decided to do a deeper version of this track to play in my early sets on the beach at noon. I heard Inriana sing a few times and asked her if she wanted to sing one of the verses, and I finally finished it after a year and a half later with changes all the time, LOL.

Where was your favorite gig so far, and why was it special for you?

I've had a few favorite gigs over the years, warming up and closing for Sister Sledge, Robin S, and CeCe Peniston... all soul legends, the queens of soul, disco, and house.

If you had to choose: DJing or producing?

I love both, but yes, definitely DJing would be my first choice.

What's next for you in the coming months?

I've got a new deep Afro single releasing in the coming months on a renowned deep house label from the UK, a collab with City Soul Project releasing soon, and a remix of a jazz house track from one of the UK's top DJs/producers, Pat Bedeau.

Why is Dobar House the best label on planet Earth?

I love Dobar House because it's quality house music, and overall Tom Bug is a legend, and his productions are super-duper. Plus, Dobar House releases are always fabulous. He has always been supportive of my releases, and I want to continue being part of the Dobar House family and one day DJ for you guys back in Croatia.
