We spoke to Fabian Haneke, a talented producer we had the pleasure of working on two releases so far.

Who are you, and what do you do?
My name is Fabian Haneke and I am a producer and DJ from Germany. Before I started to release music under my real name, I worked on a project called Goose Bumps. I love house music since I was young and I feel free to do the sound I like.
How did your latest release on Dobar House Gruv came to be? Tell us about how you started the track, what inspired you etc.
In 2021 I released the track „Easy“ on Dobar House, a collaboration with Sarah Fall and DiVine from the Netherlands, so there was a connection already. And while I was working on the track „What Life’s All About“ it felt that this one would fit perfect to Dobar House!
I started the track by building a groove and stumbled across that cool vocal which was the perfect fit to my instrumental. So I decided to catch the vibe and finish this groovy feel-good tune 😉
Where was your favourite gig so far and why was it special for you?
My favourite gig has been in 2006. I played at an open air party in Dortmund and on that day I finished my first production. I made a bootleg of a famous German pop song by the band Mia called ‚Tanz der Moleküle‘. When I played it that night all the people went nuts! That was a special moment…
If you had to choose: would you choose DJing or producing?
I started making music as a DJ and I was touring for many years. Currently I am more comfortable to be a producer, but it’s not easy to choose between these. I love both parts a lot 😊
What's next for you in the coming months?
There are lots of new tracks in the pipeline. I am looking forward to release a new EP on Samani Music that includes a fantastic remix by Drillisch! I really love this label from Germany, so make sure to check them out. I have also signed a track that’s coming on Distance Music and a massive 3 track EP on Whoyostro. One of these tracks is a collaboration with my mate Den Ishu!
Why is Dobar House the best label on the planet earth?
Dobar House is a really cool label. I like the music they release and I love to work with Tom Bug. He is a smart guy who feels the music. It’s also great that there are different imprints. This way the output is more diverse. Ultimately they release what they feel as long as it’s house music!
