We spoke to Yuta Yamada ahead of his debut perfomance on Dobar House with Ben Rau in Barbarella's

Who are you, and what do you do?

I'm a DJ, track maker, and event organizer from Japan.

How did your latest release on Dobar House Gruv came to be? Tell us about how you started the track, what inspired you etc.

I will release tunes on Dobar House Gruv soon, with a focus on the 90s sound that has recently gained popularity. After starting with that idea, I simply finished them by feeling.

Where was your favourite gig so far and why was it special for you?

My favourite party was the launch party of "Play Of Color", a label I started with my friend Amps and MINT to promote Deep Tech/Minimal House in Japan. 
The label started with the determination to be at the forefront of this genre in Japan in the future, so it has a special feeling for me as it's the first party.
I also have fond memories of the parties I organised by inviting foreign DJs such as Kolter, Robbie Doherty, Vitess and RUZE to Japan.

If you had to choose: DJ-ing or producing?

It's very difficult question...
I would like to do both, but I might choose DJi-ng because I can get a direct reaction from the audience.

What's next for you in the coming months?

My ultimate goal is to make parties in Japan where as many people as possible can be happy.  I hope that when people come to my party, they will be relieved from sadness and pain. In order to make such parties, I need to spread that there is more great House Music in the world, and as an individual, I have to improve my level and become more well-known so that more people will come to my parties. So, in my immediate plans, I want to experience first-hand the top DJs and various parties, release tracks on many labels and DJ at great parties.

Why is Dobar House the best label on the planet earth?

I think it's because the label owners are great, they release cool music and they keep putting on attractive parties. I also started and organize a label, so I want to learn a lot from Dobar House in the future.
