Dobar House’s own Tom Bug & Grooveline took home the prestigious House Single of the Year award for their track Treat Me Right
Elector, one of Croatia’s premier awards for electronic music, once again celebrated the country’s thriving scene. Organized by the DJ Section of the Croatian Musicians’ Union and the Croatian Composers’ Society, with co-production by Tvornica Kulture and Unison, and support from the Ministry of Culture and Media and the City of Zagreb, the fourth edition of the awards honored the best releases, artists, and contributions to the electronic music landscape.
Among the standout winners of the night, Dobar House’s own Tom Bug & Grooveline took home the prestigious House Single of the Year award for their track Treat Me Right.
This recognition comes at a perfect moment, just before the duo’s highly anticipated Rek’d debut EP, a release already turning heads across the international scene. The EP has received early support from industry heavyweights like Jamie Jones, Honey Dijon, Piem, Hilit Kolet, and Radio Slave, solidifying their growing reputation on the global house music stage.
The duo’s win at Elector 2025 is a testament to their long-standing collaboration, which dates back to 2002. Treat Me Right not only captured the essence of their deep-rooted chemistry but also resonated with audiences and industry professionals alike, earning them this well-deserved accolade. Their upcoming extended set at Peti Kupe on February 8th, as part of Dobar House Label Edition event, now carries even more excitement, as fans will have the chance to celebrate the victory with them in an intimate club setting.
Elector 2025 also recognized several other notable names in the electronic music scene. Ilija Rudman won Remix of the Year for his reinterpretation of Antonio Zuza’s Palmižana, while rising star Marcela was named New (S)elector of the Year, highlighting her growing presence in the Zagreb club circuit. Ognjen Zečević Egoless claimed the Album of the Year award for Dubternal, an LP that showcases his signature blend of live instrumentation and deep dub influences.
The ceremony, held at Tvornica Kulture, featured performances from Banana Zvuk, Chui & Roy Beatie, Ivan Komlinović, Ivan Grobenski, Ki Klop, and Plazmatick, with voguing performances adding a unique flair to the event. The night concluded with a New (S)elector DJ takeover, keeping the party going well into the early hours.
With this win, Tom Bug & Grooveline further cement their place in Croatia’s house music history. As they gear up for their Rek’d release and a milestone Dobar House night at Peti Kupe, 2025 is already shaping up to be a massive year for the duo.
